Amtrak looking out a window for the first time

Updated: Mar 8, 2019

Filling out a life list and riding on the Amtrak to Washdc was amazing. It stirred up so many memories. Being with your two freinds makes it even better. You wish for all your friends close to you to be there and they are not. You carry these people in your heart and think of them. Washington DC always see to give me energy. Seeing the thr soldiers statues. The Vietnam memorial. The capital buildings and the mall where I used to run when I was stationed at the marine barrack. It hurt my heart and I was young again and was remembering the days when I was indestructible. Marine mentality, I can disassociate myself from the pain. I went through all I had and refreshed, rebooted and walked beyond what I thought I could. Then I fell. Hard. But I looked up and saw another adventure and sunrise on the ocean. So now I am here near the next memory Parris Island. Nothing bettter To refresh. I want to walk down beach and remember. Forty years ago I did something. I made an impact. How many lives did I actually help. How many young woman who graduated WRTC at the time went on to become and impacted other lives. The chain moves on through what we said with integrity and honesty of our words In training. I hope I made an impact the passion and energy I have of myself. The part of my life I lost is secret I cannot reveal. They pin a medal on your chest and put stripes on your shoulder then you move on.

Funny I’m here to find memories from forty years ago. Going backwards to go forward.
