Hugging it’s not one sided. It has to be a two person, but you could hug yourself. That would save contact from another person. I laugh at the side hugs. The one arm hugs are I kind of know you but really. The pat on the back hugs. The foot away hugs. The step in and out hugs. The push away hug. You hugged first or they did and it’s an uncomfortable hug. The I don’t want to hug you hug. This one is because people don’t like to hug. This hug I like to watch, because it’s the I’m having to be nice hug. People are watching so I have to nice to you hug, your the hostess hug. The cheek hug without the arms. The shoulder hug, you just bump your shoulders. Guys do this one a lot grab each hand in a handshake pull each other in and bump shoulders. Never really touching to many body parts.
The awkward hug. We missed the tempo of the beat, to step into each other and I got to go but not really hug. This one is really fun to watch. You see this one in a room full of people at a party. The waist hugs Is funny. They hold by the waist and shake you while you try to get away and not make eye contact. They twist you and keep talking. It’s a I’m needing to be humorous move, they love you. It’s a belly to belly thing and they hold by the waist and just keep hold of you. Try to lean back and escape, but they don’t let go. Just keep smiling but remember no eye contact. Then it’s always that moment of just give in I tried.
The wrap up hugs. Arms at 45% angle and you walk into it, under the armpits. They pull you in and it’s a heart hug they are open and just love you the hug never ends.
The hand hold hug, we are close we enjoy these people. It started out as a full contact hug, then the hand hold comes in. This is a good heart hug. Makes me smile.
The head to shoulder hug. You lay your head down and are safe with them. This is a good hug, by good friends that have shared time togethe. The song memories is playing in background.
The funny part of watching and sitting in a room at event or party is watching these hugs. Without knowing the people the information is right there in front of you without speaking they tell you about themselves. The body languag. So many more hugs to see and watch and learn.
A hug is not just a hug. You invade the personal space of another person. The Seconds it takes to give a hug, is a smile that can last with someone who might need it. Time is not something you can stop, replace, credit or give back.
